How to add it

  1. Pick a calculator and a theme above. Add a home price if you are placing it on a listing page.
  2. Press Copy code.
  3. In your website editor, add a "Custom HTML", "Embed" or "Code" block where you want the calculator, and paste. Publish the page.

The calculator fills the width of the space you give it, up to 880 pixels, and works on phones. Its height adjusts to fit automatically.

What your visitors get

  • The same calculator as on Crunch My Mortgage, with results that update as they type.
  • No ads, no pop-ups, no sign-up and no tracking inside the widget.
  • Private by design: the math runs in their browser and nothing they type is stored or sent anywhere.
  • A link to the full calculator on Crunch My Mortgage, with charts, schedules and a plain-English explanation of the formula, opening with their numbers already filled in.

What we ask in return

Keep the one-line credit under the calculator visible and linked to Crunch My Mortgage, as it appears in the code. Please do not change the calculator, hide the credit, or present its results as a loan offer or rate quote: like everything on this site, the results are estimates for education. See the terms of use.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no fee, no account and no limit on page views. The only thing we ask is that the short credit line under the calculator stays visible and links back to Crunch My Mortgage.

Will it show ads on my site?

No. The embedded calculator never shows ads, pop-ups or sign-up prompts. Your visitors see the calculator and a small credit line, nothing else.

Does it collect my visitors' information?

No. The calculator runs in the visitor's browser. It sets no cookies, stores nothing and sends the numbers nowhere. If a visitor follows the link to see the full calculator, their numbers travel in that link so the page opens with the same inputs.

Will it slow down my page?

It loads in its own frame, lazily, only when a visitor scrolls near it, so it does not delay the rest of your page. The calculator itself is a few dozen kilobytes with no third-party scripts.

Can I set the home price for a listing?

Yes, for calculators that use a home price. Enter it in the builder and the calculator opens with that price filled in. Visitors can still change every number.

My website builder removed the script tag. Does it still work?

Yes. The script only adjusts the frame's height to fit the calculator exactly. Without it, the frame keeps the fixed height in the code and scrolls if the calculator is taller. You can raise the height number in the code if you see a scroll bar.
